A New Year?
I celebrated Passover last night with three friends, who aren't observant Jews, either. Not a common occurance in these parts. I wonder if part of the Acts 2 power and love demonstrated in the early church had to do with how these early groups maintained connection with their Jewish roots?
I personally felt attracted to begin a new year by observing this first feast in the cycle of biblical feasts as a symbolic declaration.
"I am leaving behind a stage of life of wandering in the desert and crossing over into the promised land to the fullness of the purposes and plans that God has for my life!"
As the Isaelites obeyed the edicts of God through Moses, the only hope they had to move from death to life was through the applied blood of the lamb over the doorposts of their dwellings. By faith I apply the blood of Jesus, the true passover lamb and walk in vivifying newness. I feel it. It is a new day! Looking out my window I see the blazing color of a 10-foot yellow forsythia bush; It's God's creation exclaiming the newness of life in fresh vibrancy!
A new blog
Its a great day for posting the first entry to: prayer blog and Jesus! I am Nancy, one of two Scribing sisters; You'll meet my friend and co-authoress, in upcoming postings. Our heart is to create a space for sharing Jesus from the miraculous to the mundane, in the hopes that faith might explode in those who hear what God is doing in our lives and the lives of others. We hope to offer a forum for answered prayer testimony as well as engage in prayer ministry. We'll see how it unfolds!
A new grandchild.
Tomorrow, my daughter who is 40 weeks pregnant, is scheduled to have labor induced!
Its my first grandchild! I'll have to keep you posted on this one!

Prayer: "Father God, I pray a blessing on every person who reads this. May your Holy Spirit enter all our hearts and open us to the fullness of the plans that you have for our lives. May this season when we observe the death and resurrection of your son, Jesus, speak to each one of us, as we consider how the innocent one became guilty, so that the guilty could become innocent."
Amen.
